Tamika Smith  is currently, a National News Anchor for 1450  WOL-AM and a teacher at Duke Ellington School of the Arts in Washington , D.C. At Radio-One she covers stories that primarily affect the African American community.
 
Before coming to WOL-AM,  she worked with Tell Me More, hosted by Michel Martin , an ambitious news program dedicated to covering multi-cultural issues. NBC 6 in Miami , where she participated in the NBC 6 Junior Broadcasting program for two years. As a student at Howard, she wrote at The Hilltop the university's student publication.
 
She reported on various issues like Immigrationtional issues, protests and the arts.  She's also taken part in a radio production with Black College Wire, field producing audio for their website. Smith has also worked on, TV ONE productions, Quiet On the Set with Mary Major and Singletary Says, FOX 5 DC and American University Radio.
