WABJ Urban Journalism Workshop
The Urban Journalism Workshop is co-sponsored by the Washington Association of Black Journalists and The Washington Post. Professional journalists teach the students on eight consecutive Saturdays from late February through April. The students choose one of three segments: newspaper, radio news or television news.The students produce a newspaper, a 30-minute radio news show and a 30-minute television news show. The workshop is open to all high school students.

Sign up to assist local high school students each Saturday, 9 a.m.-4 p.m. from Feb. 27 through April 24 at American University, NPR and local television stations.
